AWS S3 and Lambda
AWS S3
- Amazon S3 is Amazon Simple Storage Service, which is an object storage service that offers scalability and data availabity. It can be used as data storage for cloud-native applications, and mobile apps.
- Benefits of using S3 includes it’s scalable according to the organizational needs, it runs with cloud-native applications, and back-up data.
AWS Lambda Basics
- AWS lambda creates functions. Which are self-contained applications written in one of the supported languages.
- Use cases for AWS lambdas include: scalable APIs and data processing.
- A “serverless” service is running an application without managing the underlying infrastructure. So the developer can focus on developing the software without having to concern about the server compatibility.
CDN
- A CDN is a “Content Delivery Network” that is consited of geographically distrubuted group of servers taht work together to provide fast delivery of internet content.
- When a user requests a webpage that is part of a content delivery network, the request is redirected to the cached contentt in the CDN that’s the closest to the user. CDN also communicate with the originating server to deliver any content that has not been previously cached.
- By employing CDN, the internet content delivery is faster and it can improve security.
